骨質密度會隨年紀漸漸流失,導致骨質疏鬆及骨折,是其中一種容易被忽略的疾病。
若日常少於運動,更容易令肌肉量減少,平衡力變差,有機會引發肌少症,及令跌倒風險增加,從而增加發生骨質疏鬆性骨折的機會。
骨質疏鬆、防跌、及肌少症都是普羅大眾需要高度關注的健康議題。因此,香港骨質疏鬆關注組,邀請香港骨質疏鬆學會及香港老人科醫學會參與合作,由雙方醫學會中的18位醫生代表分享骨質健康資訊。
